You may have noticed that your November water & sewer bill was higher than usual. This was due to an error with the previous billing cycle, which only included charges for the month of August (instead of both August and September). Your most recent bill includes September charges in addition to the standard October and November charges. We apologize for this error and assure you that your current bill accurately reflects your recent water and sewer usage. 

Billing Information

Bow Mar customers will receive a combined water and sewer bill on a bi-monthly basis.

Bow Mar has a Master Meter Water Supply Contract with Denver Water. The contract calls for Bow Mar to read customer’s water meters and bill each customer directly for the amount of water consumed. Bow Mar establishes the water rates assessed to Bow Mar customers.

2025 Water Rates

Bi-monthly base rate for water: $56.05

Water consumption rate: $5.21 per 1,000 gallons 

Shutoff and Restoration Charges: $50/each

2024 Water Rates

Bi-monthly base rate for water: $54.95

Water consumption rate: $4.94 per 1,000 gallons 

Shutoff and Restoration Charges: $35/each

Bow Mar contracts with the Metro Water Recovery for sewage treatment services. Bow Mar bills each customer a sewage transmission/processing fee.

2025 Sewer Rate

Base Charge: $45.23 (bi-monthly)

Shutoff and Restoration Charges: $35/each 

2024 Sewer Rate

Base Charge: $42.37 (bi-monthly)

Shutoff and Restoration Charges: $35/each

Bow Mar assesses a mill levy on all taxable property in the District in order to obtain revenue for administration of the District, and for operation and maintenance repair and replacement of District infrastructure.

The mill levy assessed for calendar year 2025 for general operations is 11.317 mills.
