Water Conservation
Living in Colorado, it’s easy to forget that we live in an arid state, which means our water resources are limited and precious.
Bow Mar Water and Sanitation District works closely with Denver Water to create a culture of conservation in Denver and its surrounding areas. Denver Water’s “Use Only What You Need” campaign helps relay the message that we need to use this precious resource more wisely.
In accordance with its Water Supply Agreement with Denver Water, Bow Mar is required to implement and enforce Denver Water Operating Rules, including water efficiency and conservation requirements. The Bow Mar Board of Directors has been a strong advocate for water conservation and has supported and funded elementary school water efficiency programs, Xeriscape and irrigation efficiency seminars and a host of newsletter and web site advisories and informative articles related to wise water use.
If you have any questions about the District's water conservation efforts, please contact Alyssa Quinn at 303-979-2333.
