South Platte Renew (SPR) will host a Community Open House on Wednesday, August 10, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 2900 South Platte River Drive in Englewood to introduce the facility to the communities it serves and those interested in water renewal.

In celebration of Smart Irrigation Month, the district would like to remind you to make necessary evaluations and upgrades to your home irrigation system.

According to the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), 82.8 percent of the state is currently experiencing some level of drought (with 98.5 percent being at least abnormally dry). The map featured above shows the drought conditions on July 5.

Maintain your system & consider high-value upgrades: Why & how often?

Irrigation systems need regular maintenance to keep them working efficiently year after year. Damage from lawn equipment or improper winterization can cause leaks and other serious problems that can cost you a significant amount of wasted water.

The District office will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

This time of year, the District sees an increase in the number of calls from customers reporting high consumption on their most recent water bill.
