Bow Mar Water and Sanitation has contracted with Levi Contractors, Inc. to complete the following water main replacement project for 2024.
Mobilization for this project will start the week of July 8. Anticipated completion for this project is August 30, 2024.
The District office will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.

Recently, the district has responded to multiple reports of “water breaks” or “shooting geysers” that were the results of stolen backflow preventers.

Denver Water collects more than 55,000 water samples and conducts more than 200,000 tests every year to ensure that the water delivered to 1.5 million people is clean and safe.
Those samples and tests are part of a year-round effort monitored by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Those agencies also require water providers to issue an annual report on water quality.
District and Fire Department regulations require that fire hydrants have a minimum clearance of 3 feet on all sides of the hydrant. If you have a fire hydrant on your property, you may landscape around it if there is 3 feet of clearance and it can be easily accessed in the event of a fire and for district maintenance.
The district joins in celebrating Drinking Water Week, an annual observance led by the American Water Works Association.
